Brickerville, PA - Kenny Miller, Birdsboro, PA, spiced up his season by winning twice during Saturday night's Seltzer's Smokehouse Meats event at Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway.
Miller picked up a pair of Seltzer's Lebanon Bologna's by driving to victory in the 600cc and Sportsman Micro-Sprint feature races.

Miller led all the way in winning his first 600cc main of the season, but it wasn't easy. After a multi-car pile-up on the original start, this one went non-stop from green to checkered.
Alex Bright, the Phenom from Collegeville, motored into the runner-up spot just prior to the halfway point in the 25-lapper. Bright was pounding the cushion, and he used the high groove to catch Miller as the lead duo encountered some heavy lapped traffic.
Miller weaved in and out of the backmarkers, at times using the lapped traffic as a screen to keep Bright from getting a run on him. As the pair meticulously picked their way through the lapped machines, third-place Tom Kohler reeled them in, creating a three-car dance for the top spot.
With Bright rim-riding on top, Kohler utilized the low line to sneak by and grab second on lap 22. Miller was also glued to the bottom, but Kohler went even lower, sticking his nose under the leader on the final revolution.
Coming off turn four and headed for the checkered, Kohler was there, but Miller won the drag race to the finish line. Bright survived a side-by-side battle with Mike Rutherford to earn third-place money, with Mike Dicely crossing the stripe in fifth. Earlier in the race, Rutherford and Dicely engaged in a crowd-pleasing duel for the fourth position, running wheel-to-wheel for several laps.

In the 270cc headliner, Rutherford notched his third triumph of 2008 with a slick move on the homestretch as the 25-lapper entered its second half.
During the early laps, polesitter Jared Davis controlled the point, leading the way as Dave Grube and Dave Falini wrestled for the runner-up position. Grube, the Penn State college student, won that battle, then set his sights on Davis.
Rutherford, who started ninth, blasted into fourth as the eighth circuit was scored. He squeezed his Kaylor Petro/ Hyper No. 5k between Falini and the outside fence to snatch third on lap 12, then made the move of the night to take the lead.
As Davis and Grube raced to the crossed flags, Rutherford went high out of turn four. He cut left at the flagstand, slicing between the front runners and into first place as they entered corner number one.
The Flying Falini moved into second during the latter stages, but Rutherford was already out of sight, as another win was locked up for the ace from Newmanstown, PA.
Eighth-starting Richie Hartman rocketed into third as the laps wound down, chasing Rutherford and Falini to the finish line.

Kenny Miller secured his second Seltzer's bologna of the evening in the Sportsman feature. The victory was Miller's third of the year in this class.
Hard luck Jason Hehnly seemed poised to break his string of near-misses, leading laps one through 22. But Miller, who rolled off the grid in 11th, had other ideas...
As the pair worked lapped traffic with three to go, Miller seized an opening on the backchute, throttling past Hehnly to take command.
On the final circuit, Dwayne Mathias ducked under Hehnly at the end of the homestretch. Hehnly, trying desperately to hold onto the runner-up slot, tried to shut the door on Mathias. They touched wheels slightly, with Hehnly spinning and Mathias claiming second place.
Hehnly's spin set up a one-lap dash, but Miller had no trouble hanging on to the lead. He sprinted under the black-and-white silks with a .75-second advantage on Mathias.

Following a win in the season opener, Heath Hehnly had been struggling a bit in the 125cc division. Last Saturday, though, car owner Gary Gorski pulled out some "recycled" tires and Hehnly roared back to the winner's circle.
Sheena Schaefer, in her Jean's Cleaning/ V&S Sandwich/ Viper Chassis No. 3s, jumped from the pole to lead the first four trips around the banked oval.
Hehnly, who took the green in seventh, was up to second when the fourth lap was displayed on the scoreboard. Heath launched his Pork Producer's No. 7 off the second corner on lap five, accelerating by Schaefer on the backstretch. Once out front, there was no stopping the leadfoot from Manheim, PA.
Hehnly's teammate, point leader and defending 125cc champion Jesse Maurer, charged into the runner-up spot just past the halfway mark. But the Mount Joy Outlaw could only watch as Hehnly's car grew smaller and smaller in front of him.
Steve Brown, who set his car up to be tight at the beginning of the race, came to life as the laps clicked off, passing Dave Falini and Schaefer to grab the third position.
At the finish, it was Hehnly flashing under Tim Gehret's checkered for the win. Maurer crossed the stripe in second.

The main event for the 250cc Four-Strokes featured a race within a race; it was "see who can get to the front first" between Craig DeSantis, Richie Hartman, and Chad Rhoads.
With former Rookie of the Year Chris Lee showing the way, it was DeSantis who got there before his rivals. Starting eighth, the veteran from Lititz, PA, maneuvered into second on the third tour, with Hartman in tow, following in the tire tracks of DeSantis' No. 39.
On the ninth trip around the clay, DeSantis squeezed Lee to the high side coming off turn two. Hartman quickly took advantage of the open door created by his competitor, darting into second behind DeSantis.
With the fans expecting another epic battle between the two friendly rivals, Hartman attempted to make a show of it, but DeSantis was simply too strong on this night. On an open track or in heavy lapped traffic, DeSantis mount was the class of the field, carrying its chauffeur to his fifth triumph of the season.
Hartman would settle for second-place cash, with Four-Stroke point leader Chad Rhoads coming home in third.
