Bridgeport, New Jersey - 6/8/08 -
Should we say the Hot, Fast and Furious Friday nights continued at Bridgeport Speedway. With the warm weather moving in quickly in a big way, there was plenty of hot and furious racing on the 1/4 mile friday night. In the 270's we saw Richie Keller start on the pole and go wire to wire for the win with Mike King coming from a 4th starting spot to 2nd and Jay Hartman from a 5th starting spot to 3rd and John Copeland come from 9th starting position to finish 4th Kelsey Johnson rounded out the top 5 coming from 7th starting position. In the 600's Eddie Wagner started on the pole and seemed to have the field covered till lap 13 when his chain broke sending him to the pits. Jeff Hartman took over the lead and the win coming from 11th starting position with Nick Sapp 2nd from 12th starting position and Ed McClure 3rd with Alex Buben 4th and Bob DeVault rounding out the top 5 coming from the 16 starting position.

With 39, 270cc Micro Sprints signed in . The 5 heats went to Dave Brown, Andrew Locuson, Mike King, Richie Keller and Jay Hartman. The c main went to Dana Lomothe and the BUCKHORN Restaurant B main was won by Bill Sorrey.

600 cc Micro Sprint Drivers Sam Locuson and Bill Thomas will be signing limited edition trading cards from Choice Sportscards, Autograph Night. Plus, feature winners of the 270cc Micro Sprints, 600cc Micro Sprints and 4 Cylinders will receive coupons for FREE custom autograph cards. Also, 358 Small Blocks ("Crate 2's") and Limited Sprints light it up on the 5/8 dirt oval. Front Gates open at 5:00 PM. Back Pit Gates will open at 6:00 PM. The first race hits the track at 7:00 PM. Special appearance from Miss Motorsports 2008 Tiffany Skias and Christy Tanner of AARN to be at the track Friday June 13 as part of her appearances for her trip to Victory Junction Gang Camp on June 17, 2008. A Silent auction table will be set up for racing items from the local racers with the proceeds going to Tiffany to bring to the victory Junction Gang Camp.

"Ms Motorsports and 14 other race drivers are going to the Victory Junction Gang Camp on June 17 2008. They would love to provide the camp with a care package of donations. If you are interested, you can visit the Victory Juction Gang Camp website ~ victoryjunction.org~ click on how you can help and then view the wish list. The drivers will also be giving out little tokens to the campers (about 125 campers) the night they are at the camp. If you are interested in helping with this project please contact Tiff.
