which rule change proposals will be voted on? Who gets to decides which proposals are worthy of voting on. I have proposed a rule change on the voting procedure and would like to know if it will be voted on and if not , why?

I think you know by now. Just call him up and ask him.

(All this information can be found in this, U6SA, forum. All the proposed changes are outlined in various threads on here and the by-laws discussing how to propose a rule change is all gone over in the by-law thread.)

Straight from the U6SA 2009 by-laws.

Rule Change or Association Structure Change:
• Suggested changes should be submitted to the director in written form (emailed) at
any time up to two weeks before the annual meeting. This will give the director
time to organize, post, and talk about suggested changes.
• Changes must be submitted by U6SA members in written form (preferable
emailed) and must be brought up for discussion by the director at the meeting.

Which means you would have to type up your proposal and submit it to your track rep (or any rep) and they would have to submit it for approval/voting.

Also, the proposed rule changes have been all over this micro board for at least two weeks now. I posted a handout on here, Rick Steif posted a handout on here, Ken Miller posted a handout on here, Tim Dietz posted a handout on here and Mike Dicely posted what exactly is going to be covered at the meeting.

I need rule proposals submitted in a fully thought out fasion that works within our existing rule structure.

For example, if some submitted a rule proposal that reads "I think we should run a spec tire". That is not the right way. It would need to submitted in the way the rule would actually read. What corner of the car? what compound? How would it be checked? When would it be checked? etc.

Dave submitted a rule suggesting that all vendors only get one vote in the U6SA. I need the specifcs on how that would work and how I would alter the by-laws to make it work within the structure.

I realize that the rule submissions do not say this. I will need to make that more clear next year. I only have so much time to spend on this and I can't rewrite and think through every proposal that comes in.
