Had the car running good during the days race, then the temp outside drop about 30 degrees. Cars would not clean out. So when the temp drop so much do you lower the jet also could not get above 90 engine temp during the race.
I could of tape off the radiator to maybe get more heat in the motor, but the jetting?

The only reason why you couldnt keep the engine cleaned out was because it was running cold so the fuel wasnt burning.you should try to keep the same jet but just cover the radiator. Whats your main jet size?

what i think you should do is down the jet size because when you burn less fuel in the mixure it will heat up your engine

I think we found our problem, the head was leaking water into the cylinder, Head maybe wasn't tighten enough, change o-ring outs and torque the head down to 20 foot pounds. Hope this is my fix.

Robert, it has been my experience that when the temp goes down you should need more fuel ( colder air is denser air ) of course an air density guage would be helpful.
I was at a race in PA and the temp was low 40's maybe high 30's and lots of guys were buring pistons, so I put in a 116 main and took out my power jet and it ran great, not fat at all.
I see your last post, my response is for future issues.
