I was wondering if anyone else has had problems w/ throttle cables breaking? I've been using the standard cable that RTS sells (Part #SUZU0200)... I broke three cables this year so far, and really was wondering if anyone else had something better... Its not a matter of the cost as much as being out of the race....

Do you have a stop on the throttle pedal? Using the carb as the stop is very hard on the cable. If your pulling the ends off that is most likely the
problem.

No, I don't just have the standard trottle pedal... I keep breaking it about a 1/2" to 1" from the end by the pedal...

Is it something you made up for a stop, if so could you take a picture of it?

mine is just a spring on the throttle shaft itself with a pinch clamp on it to set the adjustment....when the slide is the whole way up, the spring will be totally compressed, thus not allowing the pedal to go anyfurther down.

this is directly from HYPERRACING.COM sells for 18.50 on their website! All i use, and no broken cables ever

you will need the weld on bracket as well to make this work. this is not the only parts you will need. the last black collar on the end is for your throttle cable. Ill try to find a pic of the bracket.

I seen this on there website but I wasn't sure how I could incorporate it into the RTS standard trottle pedel assembly...

If you have it on our car already and could snap a picture, it would be greatly appreicated....

Hey, thanks for the help... That worked out great... I actual bought the assembly and there cable... Here is a picture of what I did if anyone wants to see, the only thing that I would do different is purchase a little shorter cable, I got the 57"... The 47" would probably work a little better........

Ya, it works good too... It's really nice w/ the spring now b/c it returns good and I can actual feel the pedal when pushing it...

Here is what I use i like this alot better, more of a solid pedal then the spring. I have the spring on my 600 and don't like it much. The only thing you have 2 do to the car is cut a lil notch in the body pannel.

I had this one made by sbf.

this one has my vote for the best throttle stop. once in awhile you have to adjust it to make shure you are getting full throttle and that it isn't streatching the cable i still like to replace the throttle cable every year sometimes half way threw.
