I thought it would be cool to find out what some of the micro drivers from the past are up to now. If you want to try and find out what became of your favorite driver from the past or if you have info on past drivers, post here. I'll start. What ever happened to....... Kevin Bastian and Bob Camilli?

Bobby hung up his racing stuff about 4-5 years ago. He ran a 358 when he got outa micros. Now hes playing with a boat and has a harley.

I've been wondering what happen to Skeetz Hockenboch, A.J. Sassaman, and someone I think was named Dave Martzall.

rick hung his helmet up in 2000 the last ride he had was with team weebee audio. he is spending time with his family. thanks for asking about him. he was a hheck of a driver and i'm glad i was on his crew..

Rick was always one of my favorites and he could drive the wheels off a car.

Bryan, I work with AJ so he's still around. He's one of our salesmen, so he travels quite a bit and I think he just didn't have time for racing anymore.

I heard Skeetz Hockenbrock had surgery over the winter and is still recovering from that. I hear he may be out towards the end of the season

Had surgery on his neck...He has been busy building motors...Is usually at Selinsgrove Raceway Park or Clinton County and GVAT

What about Sandy Freese, Gary Buckwalter, and Ashley Bates?

Rob Trafford - Is married and has 3 boys now. If he does go to the track it is usually for the Midgets.

Ashley Bates - Is engaged to Danny Sammons and lives in New Jersey. She helps out her mom, Judi, with the 410. She works for a finacial company.

Sandy Freese - Lives around Spring City/Phoenixville Area, and she isn't really involved with racing much these days.

Gary Buckwalter - Still lives in Royersford and still has a quarter midget which he uses to put some up and coming quarter midget drivers in at bigger races. Attends Phoenxiville weekly and helps out several teams.

Note: At one time there were 5 Buckwaltes running at one time at Lanco.
Judi Bates, Gary Buckwalter, Sandy Freese, Bruce Buckwalter, and Brian Buckwalter.

That would be Brian Sr.... I guess I shoulda of been more specific.

Ha ha ha ha... No no no... I meant are you sure Brian Jr. wasn't running then too? I was joking about the number of your family racing at the same time. I knew you were talking about Brian Sr. I remember those days clearly. I was a big Bates fan. lol

Brett stoped racing so that his daughter, Brianne, could start running micros. Brianne is now down south running pavement late models and trucks in NC I think.

I thought she had some kind of driver development deal, but I hadn't heard anything lately.

Opps... hahaha. I am not sure if he was or not. I don't think but he may have.

These names being thrown around really do bring back old memories. I remember Judy Bates I remember watching her race when I was a kid.

Ed Krupa is another one he ran at Kutztown and Lindas if im correct. He was the racing dentist too. I wonder what happend to him he sure was unbeatable some weeks at Kutztown.

As far as Bret and Brianne goes I read something about her on Nascar.com and she was on Satellite radio being interviewed about women in Nascar. She is with Star Motorsports a developmental team. The Coke 600 weekend in Charlotte she raced them Bandalaro's cars. Does Bret still have the body shop? He worked on an old suburban of mine.


As far as names I thought of a few drivers I been wondering what happend to.
