Rain Claims First Of 2008 At Kutztown; Twin 15s Rescheduled

KUTZTOWN, PA - Rain in the area - and thunderstorms predicted for later in the evening - forced Fairgrounds at Kutztown Speedway promoter Kerry Meitzler to pull the plug on Wednesday night's program.
It marks the first rain-prompted cancellation of the season at the one-fifth-mile clay oval.
The RTS Chassis-sponsored 270cc Micro-Sprint Twin 15s that had been scheduled for Wednesday night will now run next week (June 11), in addition to the 600cc Micro-Sprints, Slingshots and Young Gun 390 Sprints (in their first appearance of the season).
Also, there will be ARDC Midgets on display behind the grandstands.
Current points leaders are Alex Bright (600cc Micro-Sprint), Eddie Wagner (270cc) and Jim Housworth (Slingshot).
Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with practice at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
