hell them things can just about take 200 degrees! lol ours did this weekend, but you definately dont want that. depending on who you ask, 140-150ish is where these motors make their peak performance. we usaually try to keep it at 135-145. hope this helps
like said above wit da temp, but what year engine u running that you are twisting it that hard?

I here ya SFM almost think it would be stock stroke and bore or a standard bore stroker. As far as the temp. goes any thing over 160 is starting to push it but with this weather it's not out of the ????. :(
you sure your tach is correct, but i'm as curious as D, what configuration is that engine(bore, stroke, rod length)

you better step your low speed jet up to step and you power up to step, this will let you motor run cooler

Yea about revs. If you are making power its O.K. to rev that high but we never noticed anymore unless we ran the EFI . I believe you can run that high because the 2002 Ignition is much better than 01 on back . You can make power at higher temps. also . We found this out by accident . There is a trick to it though . We are experimenting with that right now .

I would attribute the high revs with the case Reed and bridged exhaust port configuration. Much like the rs125. I will be experimenting with an engine very similar in 2011 . Should rip!
