anyone else out there have a aeromotive pump with loose magnets? after calling aeromotive, i was informed that the 700 HP EFI pumps our chassis builders are selling are NOT for methanol. the proper pump from them is the A1000(red with black ends). guy from aeromotive has no idea why we (PA. racers) are using these pumps. so either go with the throw away walbro or spend another $300 for the A1000.

Aeromotive is being deceitful. The magnets come loose in gasoline apps as well. Its a junk pump. They just don't want to give any money back. The Walbro is thge best best for money and weight.

The a1000 housing will bring you a couple beans at the scrap yard. or will hold a fairly sizeable stack of paper down like nobodys business.

go walbro or maybe research that new Fuel lab pump offered by our locals

never had a regulator go bad. the rubber disc is all you need to worry about. I'd check it 1-2 times a year. If you run top end lube, you should be fine

Hi Tim Call Aeromotive and ask them to put the new style magnets (clip) in your pump .My pump was done about 40 races ago as a test pump for them and they checked oit at the end of the 2007 season and it was ok .
