This is a video from JaskSlash.com that Sean Buckley shot on Saturday showing the horrific Bret Mellenberndt flip out of the park and into a muddy drainage ditch at Hagerstown Speedway during the USAC Sprints show. He flipped for what must have been forever in his mind. :eek:

Amazingly, he went back to the pits, his guys had already pulled out the backup car and he went on out to time trial.

Wow, Gregg, that's one of the worst wrecks I think I've ever seen! Glad to see he walked away unscathed.

All I can say is... WOW!!!!:eek: Glad to see he was alright. That was ugly.

Im not sure whats scarier. The wreck or the fact that it didnt bother him one bit. I was talking to him after the nite was over and bought a t shirt and I said that he has more balls then I ever will and his reply back was a slight chuckle and said Its not balls its no brains....either way its impressive.

Thank God there were no grandstands in the area the car exited the track.

There was a bulldozer very near wear he flipped through. They promptly moved that AFTER the crash. He very nearly hit that.

He's just very lucky we didn't have a lot of rain the day before and that ditch was filled with rain run off.
