Three first time winners won feature events and Thompsontown Corner Deli Nite trophies August 29 at the Path Valley Speedway Park. Winning their first features of the season were Timmie Barrick in the 600 Sprints, Jason Rochelle in the Legends Cars and Josh Walstrum in the Thunder Cars.

Next Friday night is Path Valley Family Restaurant Night with the 305 Sprints and the Sidewinders.
The crash of the night and the only red flag came in the Late Model when after the checkers waved for winner Scott Richwine Scott Lupfer, running at the back of the pack, put his yellow #77 onto the backstretch wall. When the car came down it flipped over and skid down the track shedding most of its sheet metal. Lupfer crawled from beneath it uninjured.
Jerry Bard grabbed the Late Model lead and after five cautions to complete three laps which included top challenger Tim Fedder going to the rear, Bard took off with by now Richwine in close pursuit. Bard held off all Richwine’s attempts to pass until lap 17 when both slowed for a lapped car and Richwine got to the extreme inside groove on three wheels through turns three and four to take the lead and shortly after the win. The front five were Richwine, Bard, Brian Lessley, Fedder and Garrett Gray. Jerry Bard and Steve Bailor won the heat races.
Sean McAndrew, who has been a dominant force in the 270 Sprints all season long, came from a third place start to take the lead from Bryan Hart at the end of the second lap and weaved away, putting cars a lap down or passing them for the second time on almost every lap on the smooth, firm clay. Sean McAndrew, Hart, Jason Houtz, Adam Warner and Levi Peck were the front five finishers and the McAndrew brothers, Sean and Ryan, won the heats.
Josh Walstrum took the lead out of fourth place on the first lap of the Thunder Car feature and calmly and carefully raced to his first win at Path Valley this season. Also rans in the front five were Denny Scofield, Koser, Randy Stull, and Jeff Christy and Terry Smith and Danny McAllen won the heat races.
Jason Rochelle took second place on the second lap of the Legends feature and came alongside Reed Salony on lap 11 but didn’t find the room to complete his pass until lap 14. With only a lap three caution to regroup the cars, Rochelle took his first win by a comfortable margin. Rochelle and Salony also won the heat races. The front five finishers were Rochelle, Salony, Scott Houdeshell, Butch Brough and Brian Levan.
Timmie Barrick took the lead from the first lap of the 600 Sprints feature all the way to the checkers as the race ran without a caution and Tyler Walton and Jimmy Brookens put on their own show battling back and forth for second. Barrick won by a good margin with Walton in second, followed in lapped traffic by Brookens, Keith McIntyre and Isaac Sneeringer. Brent Marks and Kevin Steele won the heat races.
The opening race of the night was the Mini Stocks and Scott Gordon took an early lead from the pole until Gary Dehart caught him on lap four and passed him on lap five. Ricky Harper came into second on lap 14 and pulled alongside on lap 17 but never managed to complete the pass. Dehart won by a full car length, followed in order by Harper, Gordon, Gary Newell and Jeremy Ott, and Harper was the heat winner.
