Sweet. Glad you got that close in 3-4. I guess we were flying in W/U's! We'd go back in a heartbeat for sure, I don't care how boring it would be to watch.

anyone know what speeds you guys were hittin there ?
HyperMotive Racing

had us at mid 80's overall. so 100 at the end of the straights would be possible

After doing the calcs, about 110 on the limiter in 5th gear assuming the tire grows about 2 inches in diameter
Not bad for a rookie Dozer.

Anyone know what kind of lap times they were doing?
HyperMotive Racing

22.5-28 s laps from what I remember.

The fastest lap I got was Jimmy Brookens at 22.23 - he was consistently .2 seconds to .4 seconds faster than anyone else that led a heat out there on my Robic.
Given the difference in the size of the tracks and lengths of the straights, 110 mph is not unreasonable for a top speed. At Susquehanna we ran 93-95 mph on the revlimiter with no allowance for tire growth.

he was pretty quick. We woulda been there in the heat if we were shifting. In warm-ups, Brian was running flat-out in fifth, no lifting. I got a 22.0x one lap. Would really love to try it out again.

according to this online calculator http://www.geocities.com/ismaracing/garage.html?200511?200512?200822?200824?200828 The average speed for a 22.3 second lap on a 1/2 mile is 80.71 MPH.
It must be fairly accurate because Knoxville's 410s run 15sec 1/2 lap and average 120MPH

You guys are running in 5th gear..? We run a big 4/10 almost 1/2 mile in Tucson, in 3rd gear with a 9.98 final , straight-a-way speeds close to 115-120 mph. Its flat to the floor all the way around..:)

I know out there i had a 13 47 gear on the car in 4th gear not shifting which is a 9.91 final ratio and i was touching the limiter on the backstretch so we had to be going pretty quick

Nah, you looked good out there. We we really disapointed we couldn't battle it out in the feature. Maybe they'll give us another shot next season.
 Where's the video
On the very first post. Worked fine for me.

Were you guys running flat out or did you have to lift going into the turns?
HyperMotive Racing
11-29-2008, 08:53 PM
The faster guys were flat out, most shifting. Others were running it like it was a 1/4 mile track, lifting and to the bottom. If you kept the car free, it was on the second-third groove up, and no lifting.
