Whats the difference between an Xcel and a mod lite? 600cc vs. 1000cc or is it more than that?
Thanks
Mike

Sorry lol did not have much time.. 600 mods are pretty much like a 600 micro with a modified body.. Same axles wheels tires.. As far as mod lites someone with one should tell ya more about them.. Any other questions just ask..

mr madmike... here is alittle info that may be helpful, try the website brewertonspeedway.com (i think?) that track runs the mods class you can find the rules for the class there. rules for the xcel class can be found at Paradisespeedway.net web site. i think the biggest difference between them is the mods use a driveshaft with a rear differential whereas the xcel cars use sprockets and chain to drive the rear axle. and the engines are spec for the excel class (600cc) ,,,the engines for the mods are 1200cc ,,, i think. both classes run on gasoline, no additives..... hope this helps answer your questions

we ( 600 mods) will be at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Center Lisle, New York this Satuirday (4-23) if you want to check us out. Visit www.xcelchassis.com for more info. I've run both types cars and they are both excellent divisions, although the 600 mods have my stamp of approval for cost/ fairness/tech/ competitors/ and purse. Growing rate has 4 weekly tracks and the seperate touring schedule for drivers to choose from. I could go on and on, call me if you'd like, I will answer straight up. 610-389-1184. Don't listen to that ''Mike'' guy he does nothing but bad mouth me ! bwahahaha best of luck, The ''Geezer''

Thats great. Out west in Calif, the mod-lites are kinda just arriving and I didn't know the diff. One guy said they are the same, another said something else. I do appreciate the info. Looking to get a Mod as our local track has started running them.

Actually the payout is probably better then most race tracks pay and 2nd the pay is based off car count..also at tour races ( series owner scheduled races) all non qualifiers get paid to. This year we have 3 or 4 tracks we race at as a track class. Lindas, kutztown, bothers and one more.
