I was 30 feet away getting ready to shot the winner and Ryan was flipping in front of me I did'nt know where the car was going to go I turned to run away as you see he took the checkers in 3rd place. He took off the traffic lights beside the flag stands.

Congratulations Diane. Now you are a true vetern. First time getting chased? First thing I learned 35 years ago. Never, ever turn your back on a racecar but sometimes we do take a bit more of a chance.;)

Thanks Bob! If you look on my photo site the first shot is there, its blurry but you can see the car hit the lights and the car is backwards, photographers know the race is'nt over till its over even after the checkers.

Just think now you will have stories to tell your children and grandchildren.
The dirt tracks never scared me too much. It was always the Cup and Indy Cars. You ain't gonna outrun them.

Looks like a nasty one! Was Gerry Ok? Sometimes those flaggers cut it close,Well you got the shot, you have to shoot first then run, yep never turn your back, but I catch myself not paying attention too often, If it wasn't for an alert cornerman at lanco pulling me away I might be done shooting! Hopefully I can get up to greenwood soon, Keep up the good work! Scott

actually as bad as it was, we lost nothing major.
2 rims, shock, chain, sprocket assembly, nerf bar. couple body panels, ton of radius rods.
we were lucky.
its amazing what happens when you wash out in the turn.
bet he runs closer to the bottom next week.
