What is the cheapest way to go and how much are we looking to spend? Just wondering if the cars at Linda's that backed into the wall this weekend had bladders or not, because there were no fuel spills at all. There were some hard hits this weekend.

Nick,
We are working on a low cost bladder option for our new tank, it wll be in the 8 gallon range, and will hold the fuel really far forward and really low where you want it, It will have foam in the far back of the tank which will make it safer, more later.

Also the ATL 5 gal RA105 cell mounted inside your plastic tail will work, it is made from hard rubber and will be in the $300 range.

A bunch of people in Oklahoma are going to use the RCI fuel cells. you can view one at maximumdirt.com. click on forums and look in the ads at the top of the page and you will see RCI fuel cells for $325. they are approved by the ASCS2 and all the tracks in Oklahoma.

Great stuff Mike...8 gallons is plenty for any micro and having the added advantage of foam in the rear of the tank will only add to the safety factor.

Hyper Racing is again leading the way with cutting edge innovations for the micro community.

Mike any ideas of what the whole setup is going to be for that new tank with bladder? Close the the saldana setup or less?

Thanks Mike for your interest and 'forward and open thinking' when it comes to fuel safety.

One thing obvious is that we don't need a 16 gallon tank hanging out in the rear. Second locating most likely an 8 gallon fuel bladder cell tank out of harms way is very important as well as locating it more forward. Third is making this safety improvement affordable. That is a tough task too!

Lol, I think we could make it with 8 gallons, since my latest driver is a bit heavier than the one I lost to the 358 ride. Had to have at least 6 gal in the tank to make weight......
