We just resintly redone our motor, transmission..top end, bottom end completley redone and it hits neutral and shifts just fine. but it tuned over in our shop just fine so we went to start it. right b4 we started it i turned the fuel on and went to put it in gear and it wouldnt turn over. tires just locked right up. we thought we might have filled it with fuel so we took the plug out to try to turn it over and clear it out and it still wouldnt turn over. even with the plug out. piston, rings, cylinder are all just fine and it turned over perfect in the shop b4 we tried starting it!!!! im geussing something with the transmission? any sugestions anyone? thanks

if it did fill with fuel, it may have bent the rod, and may be jammed against the bottom of the cylinder....did u have the cylinder off?

It sounds like something in the Transmisson. Herd of someone doing this before and kept trying to force the motor to turn over and when they finally got it to turn over it screwed the whole trans.

I had this happen 1 time this year when I was changing the gears in my motor. The problem I found was the 1 shift for was in seated properly and kept falling out of the groove. You may want to check that as well.

i pulled the cylinder off last night and we ended up chipping a ring and it turnd over with the cylinder off so that must have been the problem. other than the cylinder and piston being ruined we got a new cylinder and piston and putting the motor back together soon and wil be ready to sell.

thanks for all the help guys.
