Is there a different between the two years for the stator, I know the cdi box is differernt, but don't know if the stator are different. I have a few sitting around and didn't know if I could interchange them with the 2001 cdi box.

Dont beat me up here I am not 100% sure but I think the 00-01 are the same and the 98-99 are the same and 92 -97 are the same.But I have already taken a 98 staor and put the plug on it for a 00-01 box.I belive all the stators are the same but the boxes are different with different plugs,and the timming curves are different

The 2000-2001 ignition systems are the same, 1997 and 1998 are the same, 1992-1996 are all different as is the 1999. As for interchanging the cdi boxes with different stators is not a good idea, every stator is different except the years listed that are the same, that goes for the fly wheel also. The cdi boxes from a 2000-2001 are the same thing they are the only year with the single plug.
