Who is your racing hero? Let us know why as well.

My racing hero is Fred Rahmer. Ever since I can remember he has done so. He's just a great driver. Plus not to mention a close family friend. He got my brother, me and my sister all started in racing, starting with building our first quarter midgets.

My dad is my racing hero. I remember going to Shehane's Speedway in Springfield, IL watching him and my uncle race. When anyone ever asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell them "a racecar driver like my dad". They always thought it was odd since I was a girl. I finally got to race when I was in my late teens, thanks to my dad.

My daughter now races quarter midgets and my dad rarely misses her races. He is always waiting for her after her race to tell her what a great job she did. She is a 4th generation race car driver and nothing makes me more proud than having my dad being there to support her as supported me.
