Heavy Rains Overnight With The Threat Of More Showers Force Cancellation Of June 22nd Events!

Heavy rain Saturday night have left the racing surface saturated at Wyalusing Valley Motorsports Park. With a 60% chance of scattered showers through the day, the decision has been made to cancel the day's racing.

"We probably could get the day of racing in, but if we get much of a shower I don't think we could get the surface brought back to acceptable racing conditions. We tried this earlier in the season, and the result was a rough track that, quite frankly, I felt badly sending the racers out on. Our racers spend too much time and money preparing their machines to tear them up unnecessarily. The high fuel costs also played a role in our decision. We do not want to see our racers make the trip only to be sent home halfway through the show. We'd rather they are able to afford to come race with us another day," stated track director Billy Maynard.

The show will not be made up, which means the anticipated debut of the 125cc Micros will have to wait until their next scheduled event on August 3rd.

Enjoy the day off everyone, and we'll see you all next week at the Nightmare of the Northern Tier!
