Will the gates at Lanco be open Friday night to bring the trailers. And is the pit situation a first come first serve kind of thing? Thanks for any info.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge about this will see it and reply. I do know that gates will open at 8 a.m. on July 5. I believe (and this is not official) that you can park your trailer OUTSIDE, in the spectator parking area, on July 4, and camp there overnight. I'm pretty sure the pits will not open until Saturday morning. Not sure about the "first come - first serve" thing regarding pit spots. But I have a feeling that's how it will be handled.
Sorry I can't be more certain...I'm just the lowly p.r guy/announcer.
I will try to nail it down this Saturday, while I am at the track, and post the specifics on here sometime on Sunday.

Barry is correct at this time we will not be letting anyone inside of the pit gates till sat morning. However you are welcome to park outside in the parking area. Pit spaces are first come first serve basis. Someone will be parking everyone to make the best use of the space per trailer size.

One note of caution, DO NOT BLOCK THE ROADWAY into the pit area. Also, the two pit gates will open @ 8 a.m. The front gate does not open till 11 a.m. The pit gates will be selling spectator tickets.

The direction signs at the critical turning points were very helpful last year. Would suggest you consider doing the same this year. Are you going to do the breakfast too like last year? Thanks. Ed Wilberg, sr. 55
