I found thi son the ARDC's message board:
"YORK, Pa. - Police in south-central Pennsylvania say a man who first told a police officer he was lost and needed a ride then pulled a gun and fired at the officer. Police say Hellam Township Officer Drew Heistand told the 18-year-old York man that he'd need to pat him down before giving him a ride. Police Chief Blaine Quickel says the man fired three shots at Heistand before running off. All three shots missed. A three-hour manhunt ensued. Quickel says the suspect was tired and scratched up when police caught up with him and didn't resist arrest."
