    2012 Pro Series

It with great regret that I announce that there will not be a 600 Pro Series in 2012 or the foreseeable future.

I started the 600 Pro Series with hope that it would bring much deserved attention to the 600 class. My heart has been and will always be with the 600 Sprint class. There is so much talent and I believe the level of competition in this class is unrevieled.

There are a few reasons why I cannot continue the Pro Series but the biggest reason is time. It is incredibly time consuming putting together and maintaining a season long series. My business is as busy as it has ever been and I simply do not have the time that it would take to gather sponsorship and run a 10-12 race series.

There are so many people that are responsible for the success of the Pro Series. The sponsors and membership of the series are the best folks that I could ever have hoped to be affiliated with. Over the 3 years of the Pro Series we averaged 40 cars per race!!!! that is simply incredible!!! I will always remember Pro Series events as some of the most intense races I have ever witnessed and the championships in all 3 years coming down to the last race. It couldn’t have been scripted it any better.

    Borgers Speedway Updates 2012

Co-Promoters Steve Heckman and Rich Raidline announced at the Borgers Speedway Banquet they would not return as promoters at Borgers Speedway in 2012. Steve will be pursuing his racing career while Rich will be helping his son Ryan in his racing program. Under the direction of Steve Heckman and Rich Raidline, Borgers Speedway has achieved great success and introduced many innovations that have been copied by other speedways during the past five years under their leadership and they will be sorely missed. We thank them for making Borgers Speedway a better place for all. In addition I am sure we have not heard the last of them.

Speedway owner Glenn Borger has asked me to assist him in operations of the speedway and I will assume the title of Assistant Promoter along with Track Photographer, and PR Person. Any questions or comments can be sent to me.

As we speak the clay is being removed and drains are to be laid early next week. On completion of the drain work the stone base and binder coat of asphalt will be put down with a Christmas deadline. The final layer of asphalt will be laid in the spring and if the weather co-operates we are shooting for a mid April opening with two weeks of practice prior to the first race.

WYALUSING VALLEY MOTORSPORTS PARK TO CEASE OPERATIONS IMMEDIATELY

After putting 6 years, thousands of hours of hard work, and thousands of dollars into providing a facility in the Northern Tier for youth and adults alike to enjoy small car racing, we are deeply saddened to have to announce that effective immediately, Wyalusing Valley Motorsports Park has ceased operations and will be closed.

We would like to be clear that this decision is not one we have made willingly. It is not our desire to make this decision, but rather one we are being forced into and are powerless to prevent.

Keith Fitzgerald, has been kind enough to spend ENORMOUS amounts of time to produce a 600cc mod for us to run in rFactor! Anyone who has the game, knows it's a blast! The 600cc mod will only add to the fun. The mod itself is still in beta testing for physics, we are hoping for an early January release so that we can host our own version of the Tulsa Shootout! The first model made was the XXX chassis. The Hyper chassis was completed tonight. Plans consist of adding Stallard, Pace, PMP at the very least if not SB3 and Sawyer. ...
