    Austin Ray Gelwicks, age 17, of Spring Run, PA, passed away on Wednesday,
    December 21, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
    Born in McConnellsburg, PA on March 5, 1999, Austin is the son of Daniel R. Gelwicks, Jr.
    and Heather M. Gipe Gelwicks.
    Austin was a senior at Fannett-Metal High School, where he was a member of the Class of
    2017, and had planned to attend Universal Technical Institute. Austin had a passion for
    racing; where he piloted the 69 G car for four years, winning rookie of the year in 2014.
    Austin enjoyed hunting, animals, working at the Milky Way, playing video games, watching
    the San Francisco 49erís and spending time with his Girlfriend. He was a junior member at
    the Fannett-Metal Fire Company.

    Late Models
    Topless Late Model feature winner will have a guaranteed starting spot in the Frank Sagi Tribute at Hagerstown Speedway the following night. He was known as the voice of Hagerstown Speedway for thirty-nine years, and announced at various other speedways up and down the East coast. The staff at Path Valley would like to thank Alan Sagi and the Hagerstown Speedway for working with us.
    Two Hoosier tires will be given away in the Late Model division​

    Thank you to the following business for their contributions to the Austin Gelwicks Memorial: T.A. Ward Construction, Tim Burkholder (T.B's. Body Shop), 21 Race Team, Heavy Duty Tire of Everett.
    ​The drivers who finish 6th & 9th in the thunder car feature will receive and extra $50
    Several Milky Way gift cards will also be distributed throughout the division at the discretion of the Gelwicks Family.
    Tod Ward of T.A. Ward Construction will be distributing additional monies through positions 1 ($35),2 ($35),
    3 ($30) in the Strictly Stocks, Legends, 270cc micros, and 600cc micros
